LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A van flipped on its side on Monday afternoon on icy eastbound Interstate 295, authorities said.

The Yardley-Makefield Fire Company and Newtown Fire Rescue responded to the single-vehicle accident with entrapment on eastbound Interstate 295 at 12:09 p.m. on Monday.

Fire officials said the driver was able to get out of the van without assistance from the fire department.
