Vehicle Engulfed In Flames On Interstate 295

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A vehicle caught fire on Interstate 295 Monday afternoon but did not cause any traffic delays.

The Yardley-Makefield Fire Company said they were dispatched along with Engine 71 from the Upper Makefield Fire Company for the report of a vehicle fire on the highway just after 4 p.m. Monday.

Fire crews arrived to find the vehicle's engine was engulfed on Interstate 295 near Exit 10 for Taylorsville Road.

The fire company said Deputy 71 arrived and that Engine 0 arrived first and went into service.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was not known at this time.
