Water Main Break Reported In Lower Makefield

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Pennsylvania American Water crews are making emergency repairs due to a water main break.

Township officials said the break happened at 11 a.m. Wednesday on Makefield Road and repairs are expected to take 10 hours.

Anyone in the impacted area may experience discolored or cloudy water, low water pressure, or no water.

When water service is restored, customers may experience discolored water, officials said.

Anyone with discoloration should run the cold water taps only, at the lowest level of the house for about 3-to-5 minutes until the water runs clear.

Township officials said no further notifications will be released unless additional action is required or conditions change.
