Woman Pick-Pocketed Elderly Yardley Fall Victim: Police

YARDLEY, PA — Police are trying to catch a woman they say pick-pocketed an 81-year-old woman who had fallen at the Giant store in Yardley.

The incident happened at 2:12 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, at the Giant at 700 Stony Hill Rd. in Yardley. According to Lower Makefield Township Police, the woman picked the pocket of the elderly woman after she had fallen down at the store.

The victim's credit cards later were used at a Walmart in Bensalem, where someone fraudulently bought $494.87 worth of merchandise. The thief also is believed to have used the card to buy two new tires for her vehicle, police said.

That vehicle, according to police, is believed to be a KIA with New Jersey tags.
