Wrangler Fest 2023 Capturing Culture In Yardley
The Yardley VFW Post 6393's second annual event on Sunday draws Jeep enthusiasts from five states with contests, food, and music.

YARDLEY, PA —It's a Brotherhood.
Think of motorcycle clubs, firefighters, or sports teams. But this is a group of Wranglers.
While that might seem like a brand of comfortable jeans you put on or something out of the Old West, Wranglers have gained a stronghold in popular culture with events for the jeeps and their membership groups worldwide.

For eight years the VFW Post held an annual car show, said Vincent Tarantino, the post's senior vice commander. But with the rise of Jeep Wrangler enthusiasts everywhere, the switch was made last year to celebrate this culture.
"It was our most successful event ever," said Tarantino, adding that the first Wrangler Fest raised between $1,000 and $2,000 with all proceeds going to military veterans and their families in need.
Tarantino is an enthusiast himself. He owns a Wrangler. And he's coordinated the event, which he says will draw enthusiasts from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Delaware.
They'll enter their Wranglers in contests to compete for best in class, most patriotic, best off-road, and other awards. Pre-registration is $20; day of registration is $25.
All participants will receive a 'WranglerFest Badge of Honor' and some other goodies.
There's live music from the band Hard2Explain and Panna and Maui Lu food trucks.
Vendors and sponsors include Metalcloak, HotRides, Street Road Accessories, Jeff Daniels Jeep, and One Honest Mechanic.
While Jeep Wranglers have been around since World War II, their popularity has grown of late, Tarantino said.
"There's an underlying culture that exists that brings people together. Wranglers have so much capability and enhancements for owners. It's either pleasing to the eye or off-road capable," he said. It's just a Wrangler thing."
