Yardley Baker Wins Phanatic Cake Contest
Andrea Gana's cake was presented to the Phanatic Sunday to celebrate his birthday at Citizens Bank Field.

YARDLEY, PA — A bakery specialist at the Giant Food Store in Yardley served up a birthday cake on Sunday to a famous client — the Phillie Phanatic.
Bucks County resident Andrea Gana, who works at the store on Stony Hill Road, was the winner of a company-wide contest to bake a cake for the beloved mascot's birthday celebration. Her cake was presented to the Phanatic at a celebration during Sunday's game at Citizens Bank Field.
She was selected as one of three finalists from a field of 18 Giant employees competing from 15 stores throughout the region.

From there, photos of the three cakes were posted to Giant's Facebook page, where followers were able to vote and Gana came out on top.
Each cake had to feature the Citizens Bank Park logo and be relevant to the party's theme, "Magic."

The other two finalists were Lauri Krupp, of Bethlehem, and Jackie Griffith, of Exton.
The beloved green Phanatic made his Phillies debut on April 25, 1978.
