Yardley Hits Airwaves To Promote 'Carry The Load' (ICYMI)

YARDLEY, PA — Officials from Yardley Borough, including Mayor Chris Harding, took to the airwaves on Wednesday to promote a campaign to honor America's troops and first responders.

Carry the Load is a Texas-based nonprofit founded by two Navy SEALs. Its mission is to provide "meaningful ways to honor and celebrate the sacrifices made by our nation's heroes — military, veterans, first responders and their families."

Wednesday morning, Fox 29 Philadephia was in Yardley at Charcoal, where local officials promoted Carry the Load's upcoming relay and rally.

Harding, who has been named an ambassador for the nonprofit, promoted the rally that will be hosted in Yardley on Wednesday, May 1, as part of the group's annual National Relay.

Carry the Load walkers will be marching from Washington Crossing to Philadelphia, a 40-mile hike they plan to complete in about 17 hours. The Yardley rally is set for 3:30 p.m. at the Yardley Borough Veterans Monument at River Road and E. Afton Ave.
