Yardley Resident Donates 'Comfort Bags' For Local Chemotherapy Patients

YARDLEY, PA —A Yardley resident has donated 20 "comfort bags” to help patients undergoing chemotherapy at Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute to be more comfortable during their treatments. Amanda Fone dropped off the 20 comfort bags to the Cancer Institute last month. She had previously donated several comfort bags in February, according to an announcement from Doylestown Health.

The comfort bags contain cozy blanket, lotions, hand sanitizers, lip balm and more, according to Doylestown Health.

“My family and friends all wanted to be a part of this,” said Fone. “Many people are affected by cancer and we want to do anything we can to help out those that are going through it.”

The latest batch of bags was sponsored by Mark S. Tyma, DDS and Brian K. Trachtenberg, DMD. Amanda’s mother, Maria Guertin, is a dental hygienist at the Doylestown dental office, according to information from Doylestown Health.
