18-Year-Old 'Involved' With State Who Nearly Died Now Dead: Rhode Island DCYF
DCYF notified the Rhode Island Office of the Child Advocate.
PROVIDENCE, RI — An 18-year-old "involved" with the state who nearly died eight days ago is now dead the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth & Families revealed.
On Tuesday, DCYF disclosed the near fatality, reporting the deadly incident occurred May 27.

DCYF was notified Thursday that the 18-year-old died that day, the department said in a media release.
"DCYF has notified the Office of the Child Advocate of this fatality," the release said.
