TF Green Launching Service To Cabo Verde

The weekly flights to the island country start next month.

Warwick, RI – Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport is launching service to Cabo Verde.

Weekly flights to the island nation begin May 4, according to a media release from the airport.

"The weekly service marks a major milestone for the region,
strengthening longstanding cultural, economic, and family ties between Rhode Island and the Cabo Verdean community," the release said.

Initial operations will include a Monday afternoon arrival in Rhode Island with an immediate return flight to Praia, Cabo Verde, according to the release.

This route previously ran from June 2015 through January 2018, per the release.

“Rhode Island has one of the strongest Cabo Verdean communities in the United States, and this service creates a direct, convenient connection between families, cultures, and
economies," the release said. "We are proud to partner with TACV Cabo Verde Airlines to bring this long-anticipated route to fruition.”
