'Road Rage Incident' Leads To Providence Woman's Arrest: Cops

The police did not specify what type of article the woman supposedly threw at a moving vehicle.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A "road rage incident" led to the arrest of a Providence woman charged with throwing an article at a moving vehicle, police said.

Marena Cruz, 35, was also charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and driving with a suspended license, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Cruz was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. May 7, according to the release.

"The arrest was the result of Troopers investigating a road rage incident" on Interstate 95 in Providence, the release said.

Cruz was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a notice to appear in court, according to police.

Police did not specify what type of article Cruz supposedly threw at a moving vehicle.

A Warwick woman was charged last month with throwing an unspecified article at a moving vehicle.

The state police later revealed that Aubra Palazzo, 27, was charged with throwing a drink bottle at a Nissan Altima on Interstate 295 in Johnston, according to a police report.
