Rhode Island saw a drastic drop in motorcycle fatalities, a recent study revealed.
The study, conducted by researchers at personal injury law firm Easton & Easton, "analyzed motorcycle rider fatality data across all 50 U.S. states for 2023 and 2024, focusing on year-over-year percentage changes to assess shifts in safety outcomes," according to a media release.
Rhode Island saw a 46.67% drop — from 15 to eight — in the time period examined, the study determined.
Only Vermont, with a 61.11% decrease, saw a greater reduction.
Vermont went from 18 motorcycle fatalities in 2023 to seven in 2024.
