Rain showers will put a damper on a sunny start to Rhode Island's weekend.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high temperature reaching 81 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
The rain starts to fall Saturday night with a chance of a thunderstorm before 8 p.m. The National Weather Service forecast calls for the low temperature to drop to around 64 degrees.
The rain likely continues Sunday with a chance of thunderstorms before 2 p.m. before the skies turn parly sunny and the temperature climbs to 78 degrees.
The showers and thunderstorms return Sunday night and the low temperature goes back down to around 56 degrees.
Expect a mostly sunny start to the work week Monday with a high temperature of about 70 degrees.
