A Brooklyn man was jailed in Rhode Island on fraud charges, police said.
Gianni Souffranc, 26, was arrested by the White Plains, New York, police following an investigation by the Rhode Island State Police Financial Crimes Unit, the state police said in a media release.
Souffranc was charged with identity fraud, fraudulent use of credit cards, bank fraud and obtaining property by false pretenses, the release said.
Souffranc was extradited to Rhode Island after his arrest in New York, according to the release.
Souffranc was arraigned and his bail set at $100,000 surety, the release said.
He was taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Center, according to the release.
