Expect a sunny start to the week in Rhode Island but rain is on the way.
Monday will be sunny with a high temperature near 76 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday night will turn increasingly cloudy as the low drops to 63.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for showers Tuesday, mostly after 5 p.m., with a high temperature reaching 78 degrees.
More showers are expected Tuesday night and possibly a thunderstorm, along with a low around 67.
Showers are likely Wednesday and the high will be around 81, and the rain continues Wednesday night when the low goes to 63.
The sun comes back out Thursday as the high reaches 80, and Thursday night will be mostly clear with a low around 62.
Friday will again be sunny with a near 81.
