A recent survey determined the affordable retail chain Rhode Islanders want most.
"Everyone has that one bargain brand they wish would open closer to home," according to a media release accompanying the results of the survey conducted by online contact lens price comparison website Lenspricer.com.
"It could be a discount supermarket where they don't check every item's price, or a low-cost clothing chain, or a quirky store they discovered on vacation and have been talking about ever since," the release said.
The affordable retail chain most desired by Rhode Islanders, according to Lenspricer.com, turned out to be Grocery Outlet Bargain Market .
"Grocery Outlet Bargain Market tops Rhode Island's most-wanted retail," the release said.
"Grocery Outlet Bargain Market sells branded groceries at discounted prices, often because the products are surplus stock, discontinued, or using last season's packaging. The selection changes all the time, which means it is not always the place for a tightly planned shop," according to the release. "You may not find the particular coffee you came in for. You may, however, find a cheap wheel of cheese and decide that was the real priority."
Grocery Outlet Bargain Market only has a presence in 16 states, according to the company's website.
The second and third most wanted, Lenspricer.com revealed, are WinCo Foods and Lidl.
