Rhode Island Among The More Convenient States To Drive Electric Vehicles: Study

Rhode Island ranked among the more convenient states for driving an electric vehicle, a recent study revealed.

The study, conducted by the researchers at Law Bear Injury Lawyers of Arizona, "analyzed six factors that affect how practical it is to own an electric vehicle," according to a media release.

"This included how many EVs share each charging station, how many vehicles compete for individual charging ports, and electricity costs per kilowatt-hour," the release said. "The study also looked at state tax credits for EV purchases, annual registration fees specific to electric vehicles, and average temperatures that impact battery performance."

Rhode Island ranked 13th, one spot ahead of Massachusetts.

The top four states were also in New England. Vermont was first, followed by New Hampshire, Maine and Connecticut.

The most inconvenient state was New Jersey, followed by Hawaii and California.
