Woman Wanted For Aggravated Assault With Firearm Apprehended In Providence: Cops

The woman was arrested during a traffic stop, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Massachusetts woman wanted on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm was apprehended during a traffic stop in Providence, police said.

Roslyn Bessell, 38, was pulled over and arrested shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Delaine Street, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Bessell, a resident of North Grafton, was wanted as a fugitive from justice in Massachusetts on a warrant charging her with aggravated assault with a firearm, the release said.

The charge was in cionnection with a Fall River, Massachusetts, police case, according to the release.

Bessell was processed at state police headquarters and taken to Sixth Division District Court, the release said.
