No Lie: Rhode Island Among 'Most Deceitful' States In America, Study Says

The study examined how often residents lie, rates of fraud, romance scams, identity theft and fake doctor's notes, among other things.

Rhode Island is among the deceitful states in all of America, a recent study determined.

Rhode Island was topped only by Nevada as the most deceitful state, according to the study conducted by researchers with interactive free tarot card reading website Tarotoo.

The study examined how often each state's residents lie, along with the rates of fraud, romance scams, identity theft and fake doctors' notes, not to mention "residents with deceitful star signs, and Google searches for the controversial online affair service Ashley Madison," according to a media release accompanying the results of the study.

Rhode Island finished behind only Nevada in the ranking of deceitful states and "home to the Americans who lie the most, with 40% of the state admitting to lying often," the release said.

The most trustworthy states were North Dakota, Montana and South Dakota.
