Police Identify Cumberland Husband, Wife Who Died With Gunshot Wounds
Police said the couple were married and living together with their three children, who were all home during the shooting.
CUMBERLAND, RI — Police on Thursday identified the two people who died in a Cumberland home after suffer gunshot wounds on Wednesday morning.
Police identified them as Courtney Huard, 42, and Eric Huard, 51. Police said the couple were married and living together with their three children.
Around 6:40 a.m., Cumberland police were called to the 20th block of Birchwood Drive for a report of two adults suffering from gunshot wounds. Both Huards were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said the shooting was an isolated incident. The three children were found safe inside the home, according to police.
"I would like to reiterate my deepest condolences and sympathies to the Huard family, including any friends and family and especially the three children left during this most difficult time," Police Chief Matthew Benson said.
