Rhode Island Among The Most Romantic And Intimate States In America: DoorDash

Rhode Island is among the most romantic and intimate states in America, DoorDash has determined.

"We dove into millions of orders to uncover exactly how America is celebrating, and 2025 data proves that Valentine’s Day has evolved into a celebration of love in every form," the food ordering and delivery company said in a media release.

"Whether you’re sending flowers to a friend, cooking a luxury meal, or snagging a Reservation,DoorDash is the ultimate wingman for modern romance," the release said.

The DoorDash data put Rhode Island at No. 3 for both romance and intimacy.

As for romance, Rhode Island was among the "states that prefer to keep things traditional, showering their loved ones with classics like flowers, chocolates, plushies, and balloons," the release said.

Rhode Island was bested by only No. 1 Delaware and No. 2 Maryland.

Rhode Island's third place finish for intimacy followed No. 1 Nevada and Maryland, which again finished second.

"When it comes to turning up the heat, some states are literally getting busy ... stocking up on intimate essentials the week of Valentine’s Day," according to the release, which said the Ocean State has one of the"nation’s most passionate and prepared populations."
