University Of Rhode Island Places 11th At Sam Ryder Invitational
The Rams will look to rebound next week at the Surf Golf and Beach Club Invitational, hosted by Appalachian State.

DAYTONA BEACH, FL — Tyler Bruneau shot 1-under par on the final day of the Sam Ryder Invitational as the University of Rhode Island finished tied for 11th place in the 14-team tournament.

The Rams were plus-14 on the final day of the tournament. Bruneau ended the tournament tied for 20th in the 84-player field. Junior Josiah Tong finished plus-7 to tie for 30th place.

Stetson University won the invitational.

"A very smart man once told me that you are what you score. So this is where we are," Rhode Island head coach Gregg Burke said in a post on the university's website.

"It is time to evaluate, go back to what made us good over the years, regroup and move on," Burke said.

The Rams will look to rebound next week at the Surf Golf and Beach Club Invitational, hosted by Appalachian State. The Rams travel to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for the two-day tournament Monday and Tuesday.
