University Of Rhode Island Spring Music Performance Schedule Starts Feb. 22

The spring schedule kicks off with the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band.

KINGSTON, RI — The University of Rhode Island spring music schedule starts Feb. 22.

The university's Concert Band and Wind Ensemble perform at the opening show at the URI Fine Arts Center Concert Hall, according to a media release.

"The Wind Ensemble concert will center around the theme, 'Atmospheres,' set to transport audiences into an aesthetic world," the release said.

"The Concert Band will perform 'Liberty Bell' by John Philip Sousa, 'Mystery on Mena Mountain' by Julie Giroux, and Steven Reineke’s 'Into the Raging River,'" according to the release.

The Wind Ensemble and Concert Band perform again April 26.

Concert tickets can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite or in-person at the box office an hour prior to the performance.

All events will be held at the Fine Arts Center, 105 Upper College Road, Kingston.
