• Barrington Town Council vote recognizes historically significant land (eastbayri.com) — Barrington's Town Council has officially designated the George Street parcel known as Lot 3A as the Nockum Hill Historic Site, protecting a key piece of early American and King Philip's War history. Volunteers and the Barrington Land Conservation Trust are now planning a walking trail, interpretive signs, and habitat stewardship so residents can eventually explore and learn from the site firsthand.
