BARRINGTON, RI, October 7, 2014 – Barrington High School and the Barrington Booster Club announce that tickets are now on sale for an awards dinner to honor the fifth class of the Barrington High School Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 22nd at 5:00 p.m. (dinner at 6:00 p.m.) at the Rhode Island Country Club on 150 Nayatt Road. Tickets to the event are on sale now for $50 and are limited so those interested are encouraged to order as soon as possible.

The evening promises to be a memorable one as ten athletes and one team, coach, contributor and administrator will be inducted. The fourteen inductees are: athletes Elizabeth Drogin ‘95, brothers Christopher ‘85 and Francis ‘87 Giglio, brothers Scott ‘95 and Robert ‘97 Goff, Jameson Gresh ‘98, Noelle Hanrahan ‘81, Heather (Lombardo) Piazza ‘97, Christine (McCann) Rich ‘95 and Scott Tainsh ’76; the 1962 Football Team; Coach Anthony “Tiny” Martin; contributor Richard Paolino; and administrator John Gray. Nominations for the BHS Athletic Hall of Fame were requested from the public this past fall, winter and spring and the Hall of Fame Committee reviewed the nomination forms received and made its final selections in May.

“Like the first four BHS Athletic Hall of Fame classes, this is an extremely strong group,” said TR Rimoshytus, President of the Barrington Booster Club. “The Boosters, the extended BHS community and the town look forward to officially inducting them and learning more about their specific achievements and dedication on November 22nd.” Rimoshytus added that the purpose of the Barrington Booster Club is to encourage, stimulate and support all interscholastic and intramural sports in the Barrington School System.
