Barrington Community Theatre Fall 2014 Session!

Barrington Community Theatre, in conjunction with the Barrington Recreation department, invites you to join them for their Fall 2014 session!

Barrington Community Theatre is a supportive and inclusive youth theatre program that teaches students ages 8-18, about theatre as they rehearse and present 1-act plays.

The session starts Monday, September 15 at 6pm at the Barrington Middle School Auditorium. Actors are asked to prepare a short (1.5 min or less) monologue, poem, or song to perform. (Please note that these auditions do not determine whether an actor gets into the program, but rather is a tool to help directors cast actors in parts that we believe will be a good fit for the actor or help them to grow.)

Auditions are Monday Sept 15, Tuesday Sept 16, and Wednesday Sept 17. Cast lists will go out on Thursday.

Actors are only called during rehearsals for the shows they are in.

Performances are December 12 and 13 at the Barrington Public Library (in the evening).

With some exceptions (tech rehearsals or days that must be rescheduled due to unavailability of the space on a normal day - actors and families will be informed of these exceptions as far in advance as possible), rehearsals will be on Tuesday, or Wednesday evenings between 6 and 8pm at the Middle School (tech rehearsals will be at the Library).

Please bring any known conflicts to auditions on Monday Sept 15.

Registration forms are available on our website, on the Recreation Department’s website, and in town hall in the Town Manager’s office. Please return registration forms to the Town Manager’s office prior to the start of the session.

Participation fees are $300 per student for the session for all Barrington residents and $325 per student for non-Barrington residents.
