It is a Good Time to be a Barrington High School Sports Fan

With most of the winter sports teams in Barrington High School either beginning the postseason or trying to cap off a championship, it is a great time to be a Barrington High School sports fan. The boys ice hockey team begins their playoff run against the Smithfield Sentinels Friday night at 8:30 pm at Smithfield Municipal ice rink. The girls ice hockey team has game 2 of the state championship tonight at 6:15 pm at Brown University vs. the Lincoln Lions hoping to complete the sweep and bring home the title. The girls basketball team will compete for the state championship on Sunday, March 10 at 4:00 pm vs. the Lasalle Rams at URI's Ryan Center. Although the boys basketball team was eliminated from playoff contention, they did pull an upset victory against Mt. Pleasant with a last second bucket from Nick Raymond. With so many teams making it into the playoffs and even into the championship, Barrington High School sports fans are very pleased with the effort and performances of each and every team.
