Stage is Set For NCAAB Title Game

Monday night should showcase a great championship basketball game between two very good offensive teams that will provide alot of drama and excitement.

On Saturday night, the Louisville Cardinals ended the Wichita State Shockers cinderella season with a 72-68 victory. Wichita put forward a great effort, but Louisville was ultimately the better team in this matchup. Wichita's turnovers really killed their momentum but they did do a good job of keeping the game close, otherwise they wouldn't have had a shot of winning in the last minute. A controversial call with about seven seconds left in the game put the game out of reach for the Shockers because Louisville then had posession and nailed one out of two free throws to extend their lead to four points.

The Michigan Wolverines also advanced to the championship game, with a 61-56 victory over the Syracuse Orange. Michigan jumped out to an early lead, leading by eleven points at the half. Syracuse then made a comeback in the second half but it was too little too late. Michigan stopped the late charge ultimately resulting in their victory.

The two will battle it out on Monday, April 8 at 9:23 EST in the Georgia Dome.
