Dig Disney's 'Holes' in Library Auditorium

Keep reliving the ‘90s this summer at the Barrington Public Library.

The library airs the second movie, “Holes, “in the Summer Family Film Series: I Love the ‘90s, tonight, July 30. The Disney film is free starting at 7 pm in the air-conditioned auditorium on the big screen with surround sound. 

Sigourney Weaver plays a warden at Camp Green Lake, which has an unusual method of discipline. The camp makes all of its wards dig large holes under the guise of building character. 

The real reason is a plan to find a buried treasure left in the desert long ago. Also starring in the film is Shia LaBeouf, Patricia Arquette, Jon Voight, and Tim Blake Nelson. It's directed by Andrew Davis.

The family film series runs through Aug. 20. All films are rated PG.

 August 20—Problem Child (1990) 81 mins.

He's been called a three-foot high wrecking ball, a mischievous creep and a cross between Dennis the Menace and the devil...he's Junior age 7--a walking nightmare pawned off on unsuspecting couples by the Brutus Orphanage. Anyone who's ever been seven will enjoy this uproarious tale, starring John Ritter, as Junior's latest father who hilariously tries to adjust his adopted kid before he destroys everyone and everything in his path.
