The Barrington High School boys' ice hockey team took game one of the Division I state hockey championship best-of-three series with a 1-0 over Burrillville Thursday night, March 14.
Barrington played tough team defense in shutting out Burrillville behind senior goalie and captain Andrew Galbraith, who made 28 saves.

Freshman Michael Lombardi scored the game's only goal 3:53 into the third period with a feed from Steven Miller.
Burrillville's goalie, Kyle Wilkinson, played almost as well in the defeat, making 30 saves.

The Eagles survived the last two minutes of the game when they were down two players in the penalty box and Burrillville pulled its goalie for a 6 on 3 attack. Galbraith and the defense, led by Charlie Vanier and Patrick Judge, came up big, preserving the win for the Eagles.
Barrington and Burrillville play game 2 on Saturday afternoon at 4 pm at Brown University's Meehan Auditorium.
