Easter to Dawn with Two Sunrise Services in Barrington

Christian worshipers will gather at the Osamequin Nature Trails and Bird Sanctuary and on Barrington Beach to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

A host of Christian worshipers will gather when the sun rises on Easter morning at two locations to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those sunrise services will be followed by traditional worship services at all of Barrington's Christian churches.

Several churches are sponsoring the Barrington sunrise ecumenical communion service at Osamequin Nature Trails and Bird Sanctuary on Hundred Acre Cove just off the Wampanoag Trail. It starts at 5:45 am.

The sunrise service at Barrington Beach at the end of Bay Road on Narragansett Bay also starts at 5:45 am.

Barrington Congregational Church is one of the churches participating in the sunrise service at Osamequin Point. The church also will have services at 9:15 am and 11 am.

Both 'White Church" services will include preaching by the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Larsen, a children’s message, organ and brass music, and singing by the church’s adult choir.  Following the 9:15 am service only, there will be an Easter egg hunt for children up to third grade. Kids are asked to bring their own baskets to gather eggs.
