Go for the Stars

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an astronaut? How it feels to eat and sleep in outer space? Lift-off and learn about the International Space Station Spacecraft, planetary and satellite orbits, microgravity and weightlessness, space travel to the Moon and Mars, the Space Shuttle Orbiter, rockets and much more. Meet “Robo the Friendly Robot” who talks, moves and interacts with the audience. Audience participants can dress in astronaut flight suits and perform demonstrations. Using computer aided technology, props and visual aids, this presentation creates a fun learning experience for all in attendance.

This hour-long free program is suitable for all astronauts-in-training ages 5 to 105 years old. Because of the nature of this program, no children younger than 5 can be accommodated. Take-off begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. so buckle-up and enjoy the ride. No registration required. Please call the Children’s Department for questions regarding this program at 247-1920 ext. 4.
