Register for Chinese New Year Martial Arts Workshop

Have you ever wanted to connect with your inner dragon?  Well, now's your chance. This Jan. 29 workshop offers the fun, excitement and challenge of Chinese martial arts
practice.  This program, designed for library patrons ages 8-14, will include warm up and simple qigong exercises--those that encourage the warm up of muscles with easy movements and stretching enabling the flow of
energy or qi flow.  It also will include:  exposure to fundamental unarmed kung fu techniques and exercises, a basic unarmed kung fu form, and elementary sword moves using foam padded practice swords.  The program will conclude with cool down exercises to relax muscles and prevent soreness.



To register for this program, call the library beginning Wednesday, January 25 at 9:30 a.m. at
401-247-1920 x4.  This program is limited to 30 participants and will be closed once capacity is reached.
