Tevya comes to the Barrington library this afternoon, Oct. 24.

"Fiddler on the Roof" plays at 1 pm in the auditorium as the fifth of six movies in the film lecture series, "Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance!: The Evolution of Movie Musicals."

It's the film version of the Broadway smash about a poor Jewish milkman raising five daughters in pre-revolutionary Russia in a world increasingly touched by change, said Doug Swiszcz. Topol plays Tevya in a role that he made famous.
