Lepre Physical Therapy Relocates

New home of the Barrington office is 236 County Road next door to Rite Aid pharmacy.

in Barrington has moved to a new roomier location – 236 County Road in the same building as Rite Aid pharmacy that most recently housed the Creatoyvity toy store.

Lepre has been operating for 20 years out of the Maple Avenue medical building.

“This location is so much better because we are on one floor, with no need for patients to use an elevator,” said Marann McCann, office manager and physicial therapist. “We are handicap accessible with easy parking at our front door.”

The move to the new location coincides with the 35th anniversary of the company, which owner Steve Lepre started in Cranston in 1977. The Barrington location is one of five offices statewide.

Lepre moved into the new Barrington location on Monday, May 14, so “we’ve been concentrating on the needs of our patients first, not decorating,” said McCann. That will come over the next few weeks, when pictures will be hung on walls and the place will be made more like home.

A grand opening celebration also is being planned with the East Bay Chamber of Commerce, she said. It will include a ribbon-cutting.

As it has for 20 years, McCann said, the staff will continue to provide orthopedic and post-surgical needs; care for neck, back, and spinal disorders, and elbow and hand injuries; hip, knee, foot and ankle problems; sports and work-related injuries.

“We provide treatment for arthritis, osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia, headaches and TMJ, neurological disorders, strokes, Parkinson’s disese, and Multiple Sclerosis,” McCann said. “The benefits of physical therapy are endless when it comes to improving your qualify of life.”

Three physical therapists will continue to staff the office, including McCann, Elizabeth Flynn and Lisanne Landi.

A license massage therapist, Alexandra Zarenski, also is setting up her table in the office.  She, too, is moving from the Maple Avenue location.
