Registration for the program began on Friday, April 13. Totally Titanic

It's been nearly 100 years since the sinking of the Titanic on its maiden-voyage, yet its compelling story continues to captivate us.

Join educators from the Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration on Wednesday for two separate programs targeted for specific age children: 10:30 am for children in grades 1 through 3; 11:30 am for children in grades 4 and higher.

Participants will see actual footage of the wreckage and learn about the history of the ship and its fascinating discovery.  Educators will guide children through group exercises as they simulate the actual sinking, learn how water moves through an object and how it alters the physical structure of something.  Children also will attempt to decode Morse code and assemble a mosaic puzzle.

Registration for this free program is Monday, April 16.  Kindly call or come to the Children's Department anytime after 9:30 a.m. to secure your spot.

Space is limited to 30 participants per program so don't delay.  Please call the Children’s Department for questions at 247-1920 ext. 4.

Hugo on the Big Screen

Based on Brian Selznick's best-selling novel, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, Academy Award winning-filmmaker Martin Scorsese's rendition of HUGO is sure to please.

Come share the magic on Friday, April 20 at 10 a.m. as Hugo discovers a secret left by his father that unlocks a mystery that will transform those around him.  All ages are welcome but please be advised that this film is rated PG and parental discretion is appreciated.

Although HUGO will run approximately two hours, kindly refrain from bringing food or beverages into the auditorium.  Registration is not required to attend this free program.
