To help Barrington residents understand the implications of this change and their options, the Bay Spring Community Center will be hosting a panel discussion and Q&A session for the public on February 20, 2014, at 7:00 PM. Panel participants are expected to include:

  • Jessica Stimson, State Hazard Mitigation Officer/Mapping Coordinator, RI Emergency Management Agency
  • David Riley and Sara Broomhead, John Andrade Insurance Agency
  • David Gardner, Surveyor, David D. Gardner & Associates
  • Scott Kettelle, Kettelle Building Movers
  • Steve Bogle, Structural Engineer
  • Roland Ohsberg, General Contractor

Together, they will address:

  • Changes to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
  • How these changes will impact homeowners
  • When these changes take effect
  • What Barrington residents can do to decrease their FEMA flood insurance costs

This meeting is free and open to all Barrington residents at the
