After canvassing the neighborhood and later finding the phone in her bathrobe pocket, officers now believe it's more likely no crime occurred but are still confirming details.

Jellinek wins Dem primary for vacant District 67 state rep seat (eastbayri.com) — Barrington voters just chose Democrat Nicole Jellinek as their nominee for the District 67 state representative seat, setting up a November race against Independent Joseph DePasquale. Jellinek, a Barrington resident, won overwhelmingly in her hometown and emphasizes healthcare, mental health, climate, and natural resource protection as her priorities for representing Barrington and Warren at the State House.

Palmer River waterfront home sells for $2M (pbn.com) — A Hampden Street home on the Palmer River in Barrington's Hampden Meadows neighborhood just sold for $2.07 million, one of the highest sales ever recorded there. Built in 2019, the four-bedroom house features luxury finishes, riverfront amenities including a private boat launch and hot tub, and was recently assessed at $1.8 million by the town.

See the 54 RI students named National Merit semifinalists − and their schools (providencejournal.com) — Several Barrington students have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, including one from Barrington Christian Academy and multiple seniors from Barrington High School. They're among 54 Rhode Island students recognized statewide, now moving forward for a chance at significant scholarship awards based on academics, leadership, and test scores.
