Local school leaders credit strong family support, rigorous academics, and standout AP participation and graduation rates for the school's best national ranking in a decade.
   

• Barrington resident is on the frontlines in fight against invasive insect (eastbayri.com) — A Barrington resident is helping lead the scientific fight against the invasive spotted lanternfly threatening forests and farms across the Northeast. Alyssa Clark, a 2023 Barrington High School graduate and URI student, is spending the summer collecting tiny planthoppers and parasitoid wasps that could one day offer a safer, more natural way to protect local ecosystems from this destructive pest.
