Portsmouth Police Dept. is Hiring Police Officers

The Portsmouth Police Department is looking for new officers to join the ranks.

Qualified applicants must be 21 or older, have a drivers license, high school diploma or GED certificate. Candidates with criminal justice adminisration education credits or honorable military service time will be given preference.

A qualified applicant will also be expected to complete a rigorous physical examination process.

Town applications are required and can be picked up at the personnel director’s office at 2200 East Main Road or on the town’s website, HERE.

Applications will be accepted until 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 30.

Applications will only be accepted in person Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
