Readers Pick Tyler Point Grille for Mom

Tyler Point Grille is the favorite place in Barrington to take mom for a delicious meal on her day.

The popular restaurant on Barton Avenue garnered 42 percent of the votes in the most recent Readers' Choice Patch poll. The poll ran this week before ending this morning at 9 am. It asked voters to pick the best spot in Barrington to treat your mom on Mother's Day.

Four other restaurants garnered 12 to 18 percent of the votes, making the run for second place a bit of a battle.

came in second with 18 percent. got 15 percent. and got 12 percent each.

Maybe it's the reputation of the food at Tyler Point Grille, managed by owner and head chief Brian Thimme. Or maybe the restaurant's location with a water view from a new outdoor patio near the Barrington Yacht Club put it on top.
