Reward Offered to Find Owner who Abandoned Emaciated Dog

The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals wants to find the owner.

The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is offering a reward as it looks for a person who abandoned an emaciated dog in a PetSmart parking lot in early August.

The dog, Moses, was brought to the RISPCA by North Providence Animal Control and was abandoned around Aug. 7 in Johnston, officials said.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for anyone who has information about who owned the dog that leads to the arrest and conviction “of the person responsible for this cowardly act of cruelty,” the organization said in a statement.
