'Shade Guy's' Work Goes on Display
The March exhibit at the Barrington library will show off the creations of artisan Charles Nadeau, who can make window shades out of your favorite fabric.
Handcrafted fabric window roller shades created by the “shade guy” go on display in the Barrington library starting Friday.
The exhibit runs for the month of March. It will display the work of Warren artisan Charles Nadeau.
Nadeau creates laminated window shades made of cottons, polyesters, blends, sheer fabrics, silk fabrics and other high-end fabrics.

“My most enjoyable and creative projects come when employing non-traditional fabrics combined with unique visions,” said Nadeau. “Such as silk with velvet or hand painted rough cottons with fine crafted wood details.
“My ideas tend to combine opposite textures and forms,” said Nadeau.

Exhibit hours are the library’s hours: Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 9 pm, Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
