Sowams School Octoberfest 2014

This year’s Sowams School Octoberfest will have many favorites from previous years such as the hayride, an obstacle course, nail and face painting, tattoos, mystery bags, cookie decorating, and the much loved cakewalk. Don’t miss one of the newer attractions, the Angry Birds Launcher game!

Attendees can bid on Silent Auction items, or try for one of the fabulous themed gift baskets in the raffle contest. Some of this year’s basket themes are ‘Kitchen Essentials’, ‘Hit the Beach’, ‘Sweet Indulgence’, ‘Legos’, and ‘Movie Night’. There will also be various food and drinks available for purchase, including delicious soups from The Blount Market in Warren.

Octoberfest serves as the largest fundraiser of the year for the Sowams Parent Teacher Organization. This event helps fund field trips, special guest speakers, new library books, family nights at the school, as well as maintenance of the school gardens and playground. Please join us to help support our local school children while enjoying the fabulous festivities!

Admission is free and there will be plenty of fun for the whole family to enjoy. Sowams School is located at 364 Sowams Road in Barrington. The event will be held rain or shine.
