Four Generations at Saint Elizabeth Manor

Meet the 4 generations of the Santos Botelho family at Saint Elizabeth Manor.

Most of us leave our family behind when we head to work each day. Not so, the Santos Botelho family. Before Jennifer Santos Da Silva begins her shift as a med tech, she drops her two year old daughter at Saint Elizabeth Manor's Day Care, kisses her grandmother, Manor resident, Adelaide good morning, and greets her father Jorge, also an employee at the Bristol location. For Jennifer, "The Manor is a good place to work, like a second home," and being able to see her daughter on break is priceless. Jennifer has been an employee at the Manor for almost twenty years.

Over the past 34 years, 13 Botelho family members have either worked, lived, or been cared for at Saint Elizabeth Manor. Adelaide, the matriarch, emigrated with her husband to Rhode Island from Sao Miguel, Agua De Pau Azores forty years ago. Her son-in-law, Jose became a resident at the Manor in 1979. Following Jose's admission, ten members of the close knit family have been employed throughout the home in dietary, maintenance, nursing, and activity departments.
