Vote for Bristol resident Frankie DaPonte online from now through Nov. 13.

A Bristol resident is reaching for the stars this month as he attempts to be the next big star on the hit television show, Glee.
Frankie DaPonte, 22, submitted his video to the Glee Project competition two weeks ago and has already risen to the top 25. His video is currently ranked 24 of the 5,220 auditions.
"I think I have what it takes to be on Glee because I can act, I can sing, I can dance, and it is what I love," DaPonte said in his video. "I can't picture my life without it."

Daponte said that he would be perfect as a new character on the show.
"I would be a Portuguese international student who just moved to the US to play soccer," he said.

DaPonte says his character would get to the school and quit playing soccer after realizing there is an amazing opportunity to join the glee club. He said the character would decide to follow his inner passion of singing with the club while his parents in Portugal believe he is still playing soccer.
DaPonte will be performing a live audition for the casting directors on Nov. 13 in New York City.
"Ultimately my in person audition is what truly matters but the more the votes the better," DaPonte said. "This way the casting directors see that people are interested and do want to see me on the show."
