Come Tour 200 Years of Bristol History at Linden Place

Linden Place Mansion opens to the public on Saturday, May 7th. With tours, exhibits, activities and special events for all ages.

Tour highlights include tales of DeWolf family exploits, from their privateering and slave trading, to their financial ruin and triumphant return to prosperity during Victorian times. Guides will show visitors to Linden Place’s magnificent four story spiral staircase, a chandelier that once hung in Buckingham Palace and beautiful oriental rugs and furnishings. Come tour the rooms where four Presidents have been entertained and scenes from the film The Great Gatsby, starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow, were shot. Visitors are welcome to stroll through the sculpture-filled gardens where they will find Greek bronzes, an 18th Century gazebo, and a 200 year old horse drawn carriage.

Guided and self-guided tours of the estate will be offered Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Sundays 12 p.m. until 4 p.m., and by appointment. Admission is $8, $6 for seniors/students and AAA members, and $5 for children 12 and under. Children 6 and under and Linden Place members are admitted free.
