Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Thursday, October 20, 2022, is “Wear Purple” day to show support for survivors and remember those lost to domestic violence.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month's purpose is to educate, raise awareness, and bring support and strength to domestic violence victims.

Domestic violence impacts people of all races, ages, sexual orientations, religions, genders, socioeconomic backgrounds, and education levels.

Every year, right around 10 million people become victims of domestic violence, which equates to about 20 people every minute.
