Community Music Works Players with Sang Woo Kang

The Community Music Works Players with pianist Sang Woo Kang perform as part of the Alive! Arts Series at RWU. The Community MusicWorks, a community-based organization, provides free after-school education and performance programs designed to build meaningful relationships between professional musicians, children and families in urban neighborhoods of Providence, R.I. The CMW Players, built around the permanent residency of the Providence String Quartet and ten professional resident musicians, lead more than 100 neighborhood children in weekly lessons, educational workshops and performances throughout the year.

The concert is presented by Roger Williams University’s Alive! Arts Series, created to support performing arts within the greater RWU community through a succession of free performances by nationally-known artists.
