The Kickemuit Middle School Music Department will present its 5th Annual Sixth Grade Band Recital on Wednesday, February 1st at 7pm in the KMS Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
Students are new instrumentalists who will be performing for the first time since joining the band program in September. They will perform short folk songs in small groups. A small reception for performers and their families will follow in the cafeteria.
The KMS Music Department is grateful to the Bristol Warren Education Foundation for awarding the Beginning Band Project grant this year. This grant allowed instrument instructors to attend all 6th grade band classes during the school day to teach students beginning instrument technique.
